Production Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Director of Production, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day production activities and ensuring optimal use of manpower, equipment and materials.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establishes the short-term objectives of the cells under his/her responsibility and communicates them on a daily basis
  • Defines the tasks to be carried out by the members of his/her team with the aim of meeting delivery commitments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the parts manufactured meet the standards of quality required by the customer
  • Plans the sequences of production to short, average and long term by balancing work in the cells under his/her responsibility
  • Responsible for training and developing the production team
  • Ensures safety requirements are met and abided by

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Administration (Production and Operations Management) or Equivalent (DEC in Mechanical Engineering), combined with 5-10 years experience, supervising personnel in a machinery division.  He/she must have specific knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, time sharing and lean manufacturing are essential. Bilingualism is also required.
