- Responsible for long term agreements negotiation and management with strategic suppliers
- Rationalize suppliers database
- Develop and follow up of scorecards
- Assess and eliminate non-performing suppliers
- Establish best practices: "VMI", purchasing cards, consigned inventories
- Create savings in developing synergy between the Dover-Sargent groups
- Participate in developing and revising department policies
- Coordinate ERP system implementations
- Identify suppliers and develop quotes for capitalizations and special projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Administration (Production & Operations Management), combined with 3-5 years experience as a strategic buyer, preferably in the aerospace industry. Demonstrated skills as a negotiator and strong analytical ability are essential. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and excellent bilingual communication skills are also required.
