- Supports manufacturing methods and the programming team in order to find out the best practices of work
- Takes part in continuous improvement projects, root cause clinics (RCCA) and MRB boards
- Develops, executes, directs and supports the acquisition and maintenance of new equipment
- Initiates estimates of the direct cost and lead time to manufacture parts/assemblies in response to customer quotes
- Proactively responds to inside customers in order to assure their satisfaction and maintain good relations
- Hires, develops and motivates people in his/her department
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Equivalent, combined with at least 10 years of progressive experience in a high precision manufacturing environment (ideally in aerospace). He/she must be knowledgeable with modern manufacturing methods and tools currently in use in this type of environment. Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma experience is also highly desirable.
In addition, the new incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English. He/she must be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation, professionalism, leadership and drive to help take the company to the levels of sophistication absolutely necessary in today's high precision, just-in-time aerospace manufacturing environment.
